1. Water glue
The water-based coating adhesive is made by emulsification of acrylic or polyurethane resin through special emulsification equipment with water as a solvent.
Advantages: Using water as solvent, cheap, environmentally friendly, generally non-toxic and odorless, the glue itself is non-flammable, wide range of solid content, wide range of viscosity, can use high concentration of high molecular weight materials, can control penetration and wettability, some Water glue can achieve good water resistance and bonding strength.
Disadvantages: Long curing time, can be heated by drying cylinder to shorten curing time, weak water resistance (can be improved by adding curing agent), poor initial viscosity, unsatisfactory bonding strength to difficult-to-stick materials with small polarity, freezing occurs at low temperature , shrink the fabric, wrinkle or curl the paper, can be contaminated by some metal utensils, corrode some metals, dry slowly, and have poor electrical properties.
Construction characteristics: Wide range of viscosity, can be sprayed, rolled, scraped, the construction environment is good, the machine and equipment can be washed directly with water.
2. Oil glue
Oil-based coating adhesive is made by dissolving acrylic or polyurethane with oil-based solvent (toluene, DMF, butanone, etc.) as a solvent.
Advantages: Using organic solvent as solvent, short curing time, low energy consumption, good water resistance, wide drying rate and open time, high initial tack strength or viscosity, better bonding strength to difficult-to-stick materials with small polarity than water glue .
Disadvantages: Not environmentally friendly, the solvent is volatile, the lower the solid content of the oil glue, the greater the smell, the glue itself is flammable, and the smell is easy to irritate the respiratory tract. Cardiovascular serious damage), the non-porous and dense material surface is coated with glue and needs to wait for the solvent to evaporate completely before fitting, otherwise it is easy to foam.
Construction features: Wide range of viscosity, can be sprayed, rolled and scraped. The construction environment needs to strictly control safety factors such as ventilation and open fire. After use, the machinery and equipment should be cleaned with organic solvents in time, so the factory should be kept away from residential areas.
3. Hot melt adhesive
Hot melt adhesive is a solid meltable polymer that does not require solvent and does not contain 100% moisture; it is solid at room temperature, and is heated and melted to a certain temperature to become a liquid that can flow and has a certain viscosity. The melted EVA hot melt adhesive is light brown or white. EVA hot melt adhesive is composed of basic resin, tackifier, viscosity modifier and antioxidant.
Advantages: Low packaging and shipping costs per unit of material, no freezing, no drying and drying equipment required, easy to bond impermeable surfaces, rapid bond strength, good storage stability, continuous adhesive film, water resistance, impermeability water vapor.
Disadvantage: Requires special application equipment
Construction characteristics: The state is powder, granular, block, rod, and film, so there are various sizing methods, such as spraying, roller coating, dispensing, spreading, high equipment requirements, and inconvenient process changes.
